Key members of Sen. Al Franken's staff will be at Stillwater Area High School Tuesday night to lead "College Affordability Resource Night."

The event starts at 6:30 p.m., is free and open to the public and is geared toward helping Stillwater area families understand their best options for paying for college.

"Navigating the process of paying for college can be incredibly complicated for parents and students alike," Franken said in a news release.

From filling out college applications and financial aid forms, to understanding financial aid packages and paying for an education are some of the most important decisions a family can make, the Franken said.

The event will be led by Franken's Minnesota Education Advisor Dan Solomon and will include financial aid information and presentations from local college financial aid counselors.
