Washington County Campgrounds Open April 27

The campgrounds at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve and St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park in Washington County will open for the season Friday, April 27.

The modern campground at Lake Elmo Park Reserve has 80 campsites with electricity. Modern restrooms, showers, playground and a dump station are available. The park also offers 20 rustic campsites in the Equestrian Center, three group campsites and five walk-in primitive sites. 

St. Croix Bluffs Regional Parks offers 22 pull-through sites with water and 50-amp electricity, 36 back-in sites with electricity only, 11 rustic sites with no electricity, and one group site. A new restroom/shower building will be open for the 2012 season. 

Reservations are recommended for camping in the Washington County Parks. For reservations at Lake Elmo Park Reserve, call 651-430-8370; for St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park, call 651-430-8240. Reservations may also be made online at www.co.washington.mn.us/parks.

A Washington County vehicle permit is required for all vehicles entering the parks. Pets are prohibited in the campgrounds. Weekend reservations must include Friday and Saturday. Saturday night campfire programs will also be offered between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
