Funeral Services Set for Billy Meister

Billy Meister, 22, of Stillwater died on Feb. 16 after riding his snowmobile into open water on the St. Croix River in Bayport.

 

Funeral arrangements for Billy Meister have been set for this weekend in Stillwater.

Visitation will take place Friday, Feb. 22 from 3-7 p.m. at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, located at 2800 Curve Crest Blvd.

A mass of Christian Burial will happen at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 611 South 3rd St. Visitation is also one hour prior to the church service.

Meister, 22, rode into open water about 75 yards off the shore, where warm water feeds into the river near the Allen S. King Plant in Bayport.

First responders pulled Meister from the water and transported him by ambulance to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he was later pronounced dead.

Billy graduated from Hudson High School and attended Minneapolis Business College. He worked at the family business, Meister's Bar and Grill in Stillwater.

Billy is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Emmett James Meister and Keith Conway. He is survived by his loving parents, William J. "Pooker" Meister, of Stillwater, and Brigid Conway, of Hudson; sister, Megan (McGuire) Dombeck; grandmothers, Eileen Meister and Eileen Conway; along with many relatives, friends and special friend Rebecca Smith.
