Letter to the Editor: Lohmer Has Not Done What She Promised To Do for Minnesotans
Lynette Anderson of St. Croix Beach writes a letter to the editor saying Rep. Kathy Lohmer (R-Lake Elmo) has not carried through on her campaign promises.
In an era of accountability, it is time to hold our politicians accountable for what they have promised. It is a perfect time to reflect on the service that Kathy Lohmer promised, and the service she provided.
Where is the in-depth look at her record?
In her last campaign, Kathy Lohmer said that jobs and the economy were her number one priority. Since then, it is impossible to find anything she has done to create jobs. In fact, Kathy Lohmer has joined many legislators in pushing for cookie cutter laws written by national, corporate organizations.
In 2009 Lohmer attended a “campaign boot camp” put on by American Majority.
This is a group of multi-millionaires based in Virginia. Clearly, Lohmer is paying good money to learn what millionaires in Washington D.C. think is best for Minnesota.
Almost all of the legislation that Lohmer has authored or co-authored resembles legislation written for politicians by the corporate group A.L.E.C. This front group, also based out of Washington D.C., has been the source of all the struggles against workers and business in our neighboring states.
Is this who we want writing our legislation?
Minnesotans need someone who will put jobs first--not social issues that are tearing us apart. We need a Minnesota agenda. Lohmer has not done what she promised to do for Minnesotans.
