Minnesota House members got their own version of a "get out of jail free" card last week.

According to the state constitution, and issued by the Secretary of State, members cannot be arrested while the Legislature is in session or when they are on their way to or from the session, except in cases of felony, treason or breach of the peace.

It doesn't prevent a member from being detained, however, nor does it provide immunity from prosecution after the session ends.
