Updated: Shot Fired at Xcel Worker Who Walked in on Burglary in Stillwater Area

(Update: Authorities have made two arrests.) An Xcel energy employee reported that that a man fired a shot at him after he interrupted a burglary in the 13700 block of Baytown Township.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office in a release issued Monday night said two arrests have been made after a man reportedly fired a shot at an Xcel emplyee who walked in on a burglary in Baytown Township.

"The case is still under investigation, however, the Washington County Sheriff's Office is not currently looking for any other individuals involved in this incident," reads a portion of the release.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report that shots were fired at an Xcel employee after he walked in on a burglary in progress this morning in the 13700 block of 47th Street Court in Baytown Township.

An Xcel Energy worker reported that he walked in on a burglary at about 11:19 a.m., a spokesperson for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office told Stillwater Patch early this afternoon. A man then pulled a gun, pointed it at him and reportedly fired a shot into the ground.

The suspects then reportedly fled in a vehicle traveling southbound on Northbrook Boulevard. Deputies reportedly cleared the home and found one bullet casing on the ground.

No injuries were reported and as of 1:34 p.m. no one has been arrested in relation to the incident.
