The caucus organizers purchased the device similar to the one GOP legislators are attempting to pass as a constitutional amendment requiring a photo ID to vote in Minnesota.
The issue of photo ID has been a recent topic of discussion in the Stillwater area following Bob Walz blog post last week saying photo ID is inconsistent with Catholic social teachings.
Caucus attendees don't need a photo ID to caucus, and can still participate by filling out a form.
