Stillwater Police: 83-Year-Old Man Drives Vehicle into House

An 83-year-old Woodbury man told police he crashed his vehicle into the front of a home after he mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. No one was injured.

An 83-year-old Woodbury man drove his vehicle into the front of a house in the 100 block of Northland Avenue after leaving a birthday party across the street.

The man told Stillwater police he pulled into a neighboring driveway to turn around after leaving a birthday party Saturday afternoon, when he mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. In turn, the man crashed his vehicle into the front of a house.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the crash.

The homeowners were not home at the time of the crash, the report states. A damage estimate is currently pending.

Stillwater police filled out a driver evaluation that will be sent to the state for review.
