Looking at his 2012 NFL stats, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder isn't exactly threading the needle, but according to a Wisconsin newspaper he has tied the knot.

The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram is reporting that Ponder married ESPN reporter Samantha Steele on Monday afternoon at the St. Croix County Government Center in Hudson.

The wedding happened less than two weeks since the couple's engagement was first reported. The Steele-Ponder relationship was first mentioned in the media just a few months ago on Oct. 20.

Lake Minnetonka Patch reported in August that Ponder had purchased a home in Tonka Bay for $880,000. The home’s estimated tax value is more than $1.4 million, and Ponder will pay just under $20,000 in annual property taxes.

The Vikings play the Houston Texans on Sunday.
