DESCRIPTION:The Suicide Prevention  Collaborative of the East Metro Area 
 (SPC) will host a community event  &ldquo\;Not My Kid &ndash\; A Communi
 ty Conversation on Youth Suicide Prevention&rdquo\; 6 to  9 p.m. Feb. 28
 \, at Oak-Land Junior High School  in Lake Elmo.\nThe event is free and 
 open to all interested community  members\, including parents\, caregive
 rs\, teens\, educators\, and mental  health professionals.\nRegistration
  is not  required. A resource fair will highlight community resources fr
 om 6 p.m.  to 7 p.m. followed by the presentation from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.\
 nThe  speaker will be Maureen Underwood\, LCSW CGP\, clinical  director 
 of Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide. Co-sponsors for  this eve
 nt include SPC\, PrairieCare\, Washington County Teen Health  Fund\, and
  the Chemical Health Action Collaborative in Washington County.\nThe SPC
  is a  community-based group dedicated to preventing teen suicide in the
   eastern metropolitan area of the Twin Cities through education\,  awar
 eness\, collaboration\, and advocacy.\nSPC is committed to increasing  a
 wareness about depression and other mental illnesses\, the warning  sign
 s of suicide and the need for professional treatment. SPC members  inclu
 de representatives from Prairie Care\, Washington County Teen Health  Fu
 nd\, Youth Service Bureau\, Penticoff Community  Counseling\, Sentier Ps
 ychotherapy\, Fuerst Psychological Services\,  Counseling Psychologists 
 of Woodbury\, Central and Priority Pediatrics\,  Parents\, and the Faith
