What is Empty Bowls?

A simple meal of soup and bread, donated by local restaurants. 

An “empty” pottery bowl to take home as a reminder of hunger in our community, donated by local artists. 

An annual community gathering,

and silent auction to support local hunger and youth programs.

 

The Empty Bowls event includes a simple meal of soup and bread donated by local
restaurants. Guests also have the option of selecting a decorative “empty” bowl donated by
local artists to take home as a reminder of the empty bowls right here in our community. The
evening also includes a silent auction. Empty Bowls is an annual fundraising event planned and
served entirely by the teen members of the local Youth United Way. All of the proceeds
support local hunger programs, youth programs and food shelves.

 

Adult Tickets: $10

Children 5 and under: $5

Locally Donated Pottery Bowl: Minimum Donation of $12 (avaliable at the event only)

Stillwater Area High School offers a curriculum of more than 140 courses to students in grades 10-12. The school also offers 16 Advanced Placement courses, as well as the opportunity for students to enroll in College in the Schools and attend post-secondary institutions with tuition, fees and books paid for by District 834. The school also offers 34 varsity sports and 28 extracurricular clubs throughout the school year.
