An Hour of Darkness: Saturday Night Power Outage Hits Downtown Stillwater
Lights 'flickered then went out'—including traffic signals.
Downtown Stillwater was cold and dark for about an hour Saturday night.
One downtown business person told Patch:
"I was just closing up shop last night just before 7PM. The light flickered then went out. At least 2 blocks on the south east side of Main St including traffic lights were out."
A downed power line was to blame for the outage that affected more than 620 power customers in the area of downtown Stillwater from 6:54–8:00 p.m. Saturday, according to the Stillwater Current.
