Wait a Sec! 'Logjam' in a Newspaper Headline?!
The Star Tribune titled an article using the term that Stillwater's mayor deemed too 'vulgar' for new 'Stillwater Log Jam' summer festival.
If the term "Log Jam" is too "vulgar" for the name of the new Stillwater summer festival, what was it doing in a Star Tribune headline?
That was the question sharp-eyed newspaper readers asked Sunday:
City Pages Editor Kevin "@panopticon" Hoffman pointed it out on Twitter:
"Looks like the Strib doesn't agree with Stillwater on the validity of urban dictionary's dirty definitions"
@GeekAaron of Cottage Grove saw it too. He asked:
"Hasn't the @StarTribune heard that "logjam" is a vulgar term?"
The online version of the article—as of Monday, anyway—appeared under a different headline without the word "logjam."
