All Children Win in Fifth Annual Pet Show

The "Everybody Wins Children's Pet Show" will take place after the Lake Elmo Days parade on Sept. 8.

Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo invites children to register for their fifth annual "Everybody Wins Children's Pet Show," on Sept. 8 as part of the Lake Elmo Days community festival.

The clinic veterinarians award ribbons in individual categories, such as Curliest Tail, Brightest Eyes, and Sloppiest Kisses, with a photo;  every child receives an award.

"We love this event," said Dr. John Baillie. "The whole staff comes out and we have a wonderful time with the children and their families. Everyone receives a ribbon and award, and we've had dogs, cats, pocket pets and birds in cages entered.  It's a highlight of our year."

Children in kindergarden to sixth grade are welcome to enter, with their pets of any kind, on leashes or in carriers.  The event is free, but pre-registration is required by calling the clinic at 651-770-3250.

The Pet Show starts at 1 p.m., immediately after the festival Parade, in Lake Elmo near the fire station.  Call the clinic for more information or visit www.cedarpetclinic.com.
