Fourteen Oscar Nominated Films You Can't Rent on Netflix Showing in Stillwater

The Stillwater Downtown Theatre Group is showing all 14 of the 2012 Oscar-nominated short films in the animation and live action categories April 26-28 at the Parish Hall of Ascension Episcopal Church.

First it was rare Bing Crosby footage and now its Oscar-nominated short films.

As a follow-up to the last month, the Stillwater Downtown Theatre Group is showing all 14 of the 2012 Oscar-nominated short films in the animation and live action categories.

The films will be shown over three days this weekend (April 26-28) on a 7x16 screen at the Parish Hall of .

Show times are 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m., and 9 p.m. on Saturday.

The show costs $8 for adults and $6 for students. Cash or check at the door. Tickets can also be purchased online by following this link.

“Because Netflix has not offered the Oscar Nominated Shorts for rent since 2007, we have a unique opportunity here and now to let folks in this area see all the Oscar Nominated Shorts in the categories of Animation and Live Action,” Norm Steere said.

The group also plans on hosting additional film, music and drama programs and community gatherings in the area.
