Outdoor Programs Offered at State Parks over Labor Day Weekend

Programs for campers and day trippers offered at Interstate, Wild River and William O'Brien state parks.

A variety of naturalist-led programs will be offered at Minnesota state parks and recreation areas during Labor Day weekend. These programs offer outdoor fun for families camping at the park as well as those just dropping in for a few hours.

 Programs taking place near Stillwater:

  • “Geocaching 101” (Saturday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m.) or “Pothole Explorations Tours” (Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4, at noon) at Interstate State Park near Taylors Falls
  • “Autumn Harvest Day” (Saturday, Sept. 3, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.) or “Edible Mushrooms” (Saturday, Sept. 3, at 1 p.m.) at Wild River State Park near Center City
  • Star gazing or “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” (Saturday, Sept. 3, at 9 p.m.) or “Antique Train Ride” (Sunday, Sept. 4, at 10:30 a.m., fee required) at William O’Brien State Park by Marine on St. Croix.
