Washington County Fair: Opening Day Schedule of Events
The Washington County Fair kicks off Wednesday in Lake Elmo with discounted carnival ride tickets, a parade, K-9 demos, the pre-teen divisions talent show and more.
The 142nd annual Washington County Fair begins Wednesday in Lake Elmo.
Admission is $7 for people 16 years and older; $4 for kids ages 6-15; and free for kids 5 years old and younger.
There is free, on-site parking, and more than 50 vendors offering up fair foods and other items. Gates open at 7 a.m. daily, with exhibit buildings open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Wednesday Schedule of Events
- 8:30 a.m.: 4-H Horse Show
- 9 a.m.-2 p.m.: Advance Carnival Ride discount tickets for sale at Fair Office located in Building B
- 9 a.m.: Rabbit Judging
- 9:30 a.m.: All rabbits and poultry in place
- 2 p.m.: Carnival opens
- 3 p.m.: Washington County K-9 Unit
- 4 p.m.: All livestock in place except dairy cattle and goats
- 5 p.m.: Washington County K-9 Unit
- 6 p.m.: Opening Day Parade
- 7 p.m. Pick-up See-Saw Contest
- 8 p.m.: Pre-teen Division Talent Show
- Thursday, Aug. 1 - Family Fun Day
- Friday, Aug. 2 - Senior Citizen’s Day
- Saturday, Aug. 3
- Sunday, Aug. 4 - All American Day
Wednesday's Musical Lineup:
- 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.: The Fairlanes, doo-wop a cappela at the Park Pavilion
- 2 and 3 p.m.: Little Thunderbirds on Main Stage
- 7 p.m.: Washington County 4-H Arts in the Park at the Park Pavilion
- 7:30 p.m.: Wax Tones on the Main Stage
