The tournament will have three levels, and Sweets will bring prizes.

Contestants can use their own kendama—it does not have to be a Sweets—but "biggies" are not allowed.

Registration is from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday—participants can sign up for whatever level they feel they’re at—whether it’s a beginner, advanced player or expert.

The tournament is a fundraiser for the Main Street Stillwater Independent Business Association. The suggested donation per person is $1, there will also be snacks, refreshments and Sweets Kendamas for sale at the tournament.

“It should be lots of fun,” Alfresco Owner Meg Bownson said. “The kids are super excited.”

Volunteers are needed. If you would like to help out during the tournament, contact Meg Brownson at Alfresco.
