Best Buy Mobile will open a new store in Stillwater on Wednesday, Nov. 21, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
Best Buy has expanded its retail store footprint in Minnesota—opening seven Best Buy Mobile stores and re-opening three stores remodeled with its new store format.
Best Buy Mobile stores offer customers the latest mobile phones and plans across all major networks and operating systems. Stores also offer mobile devices including tablets, eReaders, MP3 products and related accessories.
“Dedicated mobile employees are highly-trained, non-commissioned and offer impartial, informed advice to customers to find the best mobile phone and plan to meet their individual or family needs,” a Best Buy news release reads. “The new stores average 1,800 square-feet and will employ an average of nine employees.”
The stores also offer a variety of accessories for mobile devices, an Upgrade Checker to determine upgrade eligibility; free Walk Out Working service where contacts and data are transferred and e-mail accounts are set up before the customer leaves the store; Trade-In options; and Geek Squad protection repair.
Best Buy publicly announced this year that it will open 100 Best Buy Mobile standalone stores in fiscal year 2013. Currently 373 stores—350 of which are located in malls and 23 in off-mall settings. Thirty-three stores will open nationwide between October and November, with the majority in off-mall settings.
The Stillwater location will mark Best Buy Mobile’s 401st store opening. It is located on Market Drive near Stillwater Boulevard in the old Saw Mill restaurant space.
