Mama Luna: New Natural Health Store Opens on North Main Street in Stillwater

A new natural products store has opened in the former Supreme Bean space in Staples Mill on the north end of downtown Stillwater.

Kiva Sherr-Nelson, a Stillwater resident and mother of three children, wanted to offer the community a place to buy natural products that was relaxing and child friendly.

Enter Mama Luna Natural Apothecary.

“So often parents find themselves trying to decide which products are best for our families, and are standing in a busy grocery store trying to read labels and keep our kids happy,” Sherr-Nelson said. “I wanted to create a serene environment for people to go, where they can browse for gifts, baby products, aromatherapy as well as supplements for the entire family without feeling rushed”

Mama Luna offers a toy area for bigger kids as well as a changing table and nursing chair for Moms with little ones. Sherr-Nelson brings 20 years experience in the industry, experience as a Mom, as well as degrees in Clinical Herbalism and Nutrition.

Mama Luna also offers gifts for those who just want to feel nurtured, such as bath salts, essential oils and candles.

“We all need to feel like there is a place where we can go to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life,” Sherr-Nelson said. “It has been my dream to create this in my community. Moms especially need to remember it is OK to take care of ourselves sometimes.”
