The proposal passed 4-0, with Stillwater Mayor Ken Harycki absent. A second reading of the ordinance amendment will come back to council next month.

The proposal calls for the 1,000 square-foot patio to be fenced in, and include additional off-street parking spaces.

There is no intention of running a kitchen out of the brewery, Mark Balay, speaking on behalf of Lift Bridge Brewery, told the council. Food will be catered for events, and on occasion, will be served by food truck vendors who operate on—and are responsible for—a separate permit.
