Several Stillwater Restaurants in Running for 'Best Burger in the Twin Cities'

When asked why Oasis Cafe is doing so well in the voting, owner Craig Beemer said, "I've agreed to get a tattoo if we win the contest, which is quite a stretch for a conservative, 54-year-old fat guy."

There are several Stillwater area bars and restaurants in the running for the Pioneer Press’ "2013 Best Burger in the Twin Cities Contest."

For much of the week, Oasis Café, winner of the “2013 Best Burger in the Valley Contest” this spring, has been running first or second in voting.

When asked why his restaurant is doing so well in the voting, owner Craig Beemer said, in addition to having great burgers and loyal customers, “I’ve agreed to get a tattoo if we win the contest, which is quite a stretch for a conservative, 54-year-old fat guy."
