Family Fun at Lake Elmo Days this Weekend

The weather is supposed to be beautiful this coming weekend, and what better way to spend it than outdoors, enjoying the day with your family?

If you are looking for something different to do, head to Lake Elmo Days! Friday night, September 6th starting at 7 p.m., the City will host it's first annual Battle of the Bands competition* at Lions Park. Swing by for a bite to eat and to hear some of the best local talent around. Eight different bands, from a variety of different genres will compete for the title of best band. Also - bring your classic or antique car to show off, or just admire those on display.

A full day of events is on schedule for Saturday, September 7, starting with a FREE pancake breakfast, provided by Fury Motors (11144 Stillwater Blvd. N.). Grab a seat on the sidewalk on Lake Elmo Avenue to watch more than 40 units in the annual parade, which begins at Noon, and then head to Lions Park for kids activities (including a stick pony rodeo, face painting, bouncy houses and sports challenge) a business expo featuring more than 50 local businesses and organizations, a community talent showcase, silent auction, "Everybody Wins Childrens Pet Show," fire and public safety demonstrations, live music by Ken Wanovich and more until 5 pm. Stay for dinner: enjoy some delicious fare from some great local food vendors or grab a pig roast dinner, for only $3 per person, and finish out the evening with a refreshing drink and live music provided by Lake Elmo's own 70's classic cover band - Wheelhouse.
