Stillwater’s “Hometown for the Holidays” will be held the entire month of December, featuring holiday decorations, Victorian Carolers, Santa sightings and free horse-drawn Carriage Rides along the river.
Hometown for the Holidays takes place on all Saturdays from noon to 7 p.m. and on all Sundays from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. excluding Dec. 1. On New Year’s Eve the rides will be from 3-8 p.m. Free tickets can be picked up at most Main Street stores or restaurants, or at lodging facilities.
Twinkle Parade: Dec. 1 from 4-5:30 p.m.: The parade begins at the Dock Café and will proceed along the river to the Gazebo at Lowell Park for the tree lighting ceremony and Santa’s arrival by fire truck. There will also be hot chocolate, cider and cookies. The event is topped off with fireworks. Children under 12 will be given twinkling accessories while supplies last.
The Warden’s House Museum Annual Holiday Event: Dec. 15 from 1-4 p.m. See the museum decorated for the holidays and enjoy great music and treats and shop for the history lovers on your list.
Art on Main: Dec. 7-8: The event showcases Main Street art galleries with artist receptions on Friday night from 4-9 p.m. Hours Saturday will be 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Several historic inns and restaurants will host holiday themed wine dinners throughout the season.
Stillwater’s Main Street shops offer unique gift items and many stores will be hosting open houses, special sales and events throughout the holidays.
