Find out how you can use Stillwater Patch to reach the community.

This is a notice for all Stillwater-area nonprofit leaders: Share your story with us.

This is the first year GiveMN is allowing K-12 public schools to fundraise on the site, and we've heard several parent groups in the Stillwater Area School District will be actively fundraising for their schools.

During Give to the Max Day, 2012 public schools will be eligible for prize grants in the form of hourly “Golden Tickets” – an hourly drawing to add $1,000 to a person’s donation - randomly selected from donors who gave during each hour of the event. At the end of the event, one public schools donor will be drawn to receive a Super-sized Golden Ticket, adding $10,000 to their donation!

We want to help you raise money.

Last year, $13.6 million was raised in Minnesota on Give To the Max Day, with GiveMN.org, the group behind the annual giving day, handing out another $4,161,929 in incentives for groups that met benchmarks for individual donations and dollars raised.

Blogging on Patch and sharing your story is as easy as clicking here. In case you missed that, you can try again by clicking here. Seriously, we want to help you raise money next Thursday. You can also email me at shawn.hogendorf@patch.com for help or if you have any questions.

In addition to getting great visibility on the frontpage of our site, being promoted to our followers on Facebook and Twitter, we'll also include a list of those who blogged on Patch in our preview story of Give to the Max Day next week.

Seriously, what's not to love about all that?

There's one day left, so we hope you take advantage of our platform to reach out to the community. We'd also welcome you to continue to share your news and stories with the community through Patch. We're a tool for you to use—please do.

Happy fundraising!

I urge community members to include the Yourh Service Bureau in your Give To The Max contribution. Located in the Historic Courthouse, YSB provides valuable services to our community youth and families with a special focus on keeping kids out of the criminal justice system.
