Welcome to Stillwater Patch. I’m Shawn Hogendorf, editor of this news site.

At Stillwater Patch, I work alongside a great team of reporters, photographers and local contributors to bring you the latest news and information about Stillwater, Oak Park Heights and the surrounding townships.

We are excited to capture the sights, sounds and lifestyle of the beautiful St. Croix Valley by sharing local news that matters most to you. At StillwaterPatch.com, we look forward to telling stories from the banks of the St. Croix and vibrant life of downtown Stillwater to the latest in public safety news and issues that impact you at City Hall. We’ll visit parks and schools and cover local arts, festivals and sporting events.

I have been a community journalist and photographer in Scott County for five years. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a journalism degree in 2006 and went on to work at newspapers in Prior Lake and Savage.

Although we will work very hard to bring interesting local news to you, Stillwater Patch is much more than a news source.

We offer a comprehensive directory of municipal buildings, churches, parks and schools. The directory is a great resource if you’re looking for a local restaurant, shop, mechanic or marina.
