The woman woke up at about 7:45 a.m. Sept. 7 and went out to water her lawn. When she got to the entrance of her split-level home, she noticed a service door that is never left open was ajar. As she walked outside, she noticed that the garage door was open, too.

The woman told police the only things stolen from her home were $300 in prescription medications from a medicine cabinet in the bathroom and a half-full bottle of Grey Goose Vodka from the fridge.

Police located two fingerprints on the mirror as evidence, noting that the woman’s home is “very orderly and clean,” and she does not touch the mirror to open the medicine cabinet.

The woman told police that the bathroom is located adjacent to her bedroom, but she didn’t hear anyone in her home during the night.

Another burglary during the early-morning hours of Sept. 7 was reported in the 200 block of Sherburne St. N.

In that incident, police believe the burglar entered the home through an unlocked service door, and stole a purse and a cigarette off of the kitchen table.
