According to the massage parlor's website:

Malak trained at Abo Safen Center for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Egypt.

The Land of Pharaohs Massage site reads:

"An Egyptian Massage is like no other. Massage is designed to heal not hurt. Through my unique skills, you will leave your massage relaxed and rejuvenated. My belief is that everyone should leave my massage room relaxed, happy and pain free.

I love to help people who are in pain or under stress to feel better and relaxed. Once you are on my table my total focus is on you and your comfort.

I was born and raised in Egypt. I immigrated to the United States in 2008. I am married and have one son. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and learning about different cultures."

Malak told police he used poor judgement, according to a Pioneer Press report. "Some people come because they hurt, some people come for relax and some people come for sex," he reportedly told detectives.
