Lanasa was reportedly conscious and responsive when officers arrived, but was transported to Methodist Hospital for an exam. Zwilling described her injuries as "minor," but said she had struck her head on either the pavement or the car that struck her.

Charges have been submitted to the city attorney for review. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is reportedly cooperating with the investigation.
