Hudson Police to Participate in Campaign to Crack Down on Drunken Driving
Hudson police will “be out in force” along with hundreds of other law enforcement agencies throughout Wisconsin to crack down on drunken drivers, Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen said. The campaign will run from Aug. 16 through Sept. 2.

St. Paul Park police at 1:45 a.m. responded to the 1100 block of Fifth Street on a report of a man who was shot, and found the individual dead at the scene.

“It’s highly disappointing,” Stillwater Police Sgt. Jeff Stender said. “What it tells me is there are a lot of servers in town that aren’t doing their job—and underage access to alcohol is terribly easy.”
Police: Two Men Arrested After Attempting to Steal Horn off of Minnesota Zephyr
The horn is valued at about $400, according to a Stillwater Police report. Damage to a copper line connecting the horn to the Minnesota Zephyr dinner train is estimated to be $1,000.
Woodbury Woman Sent to Detox After Taking a Bike Ride in Her Underwear
The woman told police she had been riding her bike through the area, and made some comments to mothers in the area, “possibly calling the apartment complex a ghetto.”

An 88-year-old Stillwater woman’s home was burglarized early Thursday morning, according to police, and the thieves made off with her mother’s wedding ring, among other irreplaceable family heirlooms.
