The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the in Baytown Township.
Andrea Rae Hathaway, 24, of Plymouth, and Michael Scott Canfield, 42, of St. Paul, were booked into the Washington County Jail Monday awaiting multiple felony charges.
The charges that have been forwarded to the Washington County Attorney’s Office for review include first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, possession of stolen property and several felony firearms violations, Washington County Sheriff’s Office Commander Brian R. Mueller said Tuesday night.
Hathaway was arrested near the scene of the burglary a short time after officers responded, he said. Canfield was arrested by Washington County deputies in St. Paul at about 3:30 p.m. Monday.
In addition to the Washington County charges, Canfield also faces traffic charges as well as felony drug possession charges in Ramsey County, related to his arrest.
Deputies also located the suspect motor vehicle as well as the firearm used in the offense, Mueller said. The gun and the vehicle were located near each other, but at two separate locations in Stillwater.
The gun was not in the vehicle, he said.
Authorities also recovered numerous pieces of stolen property, Mueller said. The gun used during the incident was also stolen, he said.
Investigators believe that all suspects involved in this incident are currently in custody.
“We’re very proud of the cooperative effort during this investigation to bring this case to a conclusion so quickly,” Mueller said.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office worked with the Minnesota State Patrol, Stillwater and Oak Park Heights police during the investigation.
Criminal charges could be filed as soon as Wednesday, Mueller said.
