Someone Left Anatomy Lesson, Broken Windows on Vandalized Excavator

The damage may have been done over the weekend to the equipment parked near Brown's Creek Trail in Stillwater, according to police.

A vandal or vandals trashed an excavator parked near Brown's Creek Trail and Oak Glen Country Club  breaking windows and spraying graffiti, according to the Stillwater Police Department.

The equipment belongs to Twin Pines Earthworks of Zimmerman, MN, and was in the area for work on the trail bridge near Brown's Creek, a police report about the incident said.

Nothing was stolen but damage amounted to about $3,000, a person with the company told police.

According to the police report:

"On the cab of the excavator itself it appears that there is approximately 8 windows that have been broken and/or shattered. Based on the information and pictures received it appears that there were large rocks thrown to cause the window damage. There was also green spray paint on the outside of the excavator as well. It appears the green spray paint was, at least at one point, in the shape of a penis."

Exactly when the vandalism took place is unclear. The excavator was on site for about a week. Twin Pines Earth told police it may have happened over the weekend.

There were no suspects as of Oct. 22, when the police report was filed.
