Stillwater Man Sent to Prison for Fleeing Wisconsin Police

Justin Lee Patrick was sentenced to serve 18 months in jail for leading police on an interstate chase last year after officers responded to a report of a man stalking a girl in Wisconsin.

A 30-year-old Stillwater man will serve prison time after leading police on a 50-mile, high-speed chase across state lines last year.

Justin Lee Patrick pleaded guilty in April to trespassing and fleeing police, according to court records. He was sentenced Monday in Polk County Circuit Court to serve 18 months in prison for fleeing police and 9 months in jail for trespassing.

According to prosecutors, Patrick entered a home in the village of Clear Lake, Wis., and attempted to get a juvenile girl to leave with him, the Pioneer Press reports. After fleeing the home, police attempted to stop his car, which led to a high-speed chase that ended in a ditch on Interstate 35 in Chisago County.
