Stillwater Police: Another Rash Of Theft From Vehicles

Stillwater Police Blotter Sept. 2-5.

The following police blotter is compiled from Stillwater police reports and subsequent interviews with the Stillwater Police Department.

Friday, Sept. 2:

  • A 26-year-old Stillwater woman was arrested after she allegedly stole credit card numbers while working at the Lexington Inn in Stillwater. She used the numbers to buy food at multiple fast food restaurants and used one of the numbers to pay her Comcast bill.
  • A ring worth $20,000 was reported missing in the 300 block of Laurie Court. It is unknown if it is lost or stolen.
  • A 46-year-old man was reportedly outside the Freighthouse restaurant trying to buy drugs. When officers arrived they found the man underneath the lift bridge sleeping. He apparently has been living under the bridge. The man was arrested for loitering, disorderly conduct and being in a park after hours.

Sunday, Sept. 4:

  • A GMC Yukon was vandalized with white and black spray paint in the 1300 block of Dallager Court. A block was thrown through the passenger window of the vehicle. Graphic pictures and wording were written on the vehicle. The exact damage amount is unknown at this time but it is estimated to be more than $1,000 which makes the vandalism a felony.
  • A case of beer and pop were taken from an unattached garage in the 1300 block of Meadowlark Drive.

Monday, Sept. 5:

  • A wallet with $250 in cash was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 2300 block of Hidden Valley Lane.
  • A vehicle was rummaged through in an unlocked garage in the 1900 block of Sunrise Avenue. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. Officers later stopped two individuals but were unable to connect them to the burglary.
  • A total of six vehicles were rummaged through on Hidden Valley Lane, Sunrise Avenue, Nightingale Boulevard, Croixwood Boulevard and Driftwood Lane. Nothing was taken from these vehicles.
  • A radar detector was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 2200 block of Pinehurst Lane.

  • In Minnesota Department of Corrections news, Kent Grandlienard has been selected as the new warden of the Oak Park Heights maximum security prison.
  • In Minnesota Department of Public Safety news, DPS released a report Friday stating in 2010 Minnesota had the lowest number of alcohol-related crash deaths on record. Last year, 131 motorists were killed in alcohol related crashes, a 21 percent drop from the 166 deaths five years ago.
  • The County Public Health Department and the Sheriff’s Office recently joined Code RED. Code RED is a web based system which will allow the county to reach citizens by phone and text messaging. To sign up for Code Red, click here.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is seeking citizen assistance in locating the following individuals. These persons have active outstanding warrants through the Sheriff's Office. If you have any information on the current whereabouts of any of these individuals, please contact either the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 651-439-9381, or your local law enforcement agency.

Do not try to apprehend these individuals or make contact with them on your own.

Name: YANG, PAO CHOUA

Age: - Sex: M - MALE

Height: 63” Weight: 120

Hair Color: BLACK

Eye Color: BROWN

Race: A – ASIAN

Yang has a Washington County Felony warrant for Violation of a Harassment Restraining Order. Yang has been known to the Sheriff’s Department for felony harassment restraining order violations, motor vehicle tax evasion and driving with a suspend license. The preceding items were taken from theStillwater and Oak Park Heights police departments. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation, and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Incidents are listed in the order in which they were reported, not necessarily the order in which they occurred. When names are used, it indicates that felony charges have been filed in Washington County District Court.
