Stillwater Police: Man Walks in to Hospital Grieving His 'Mother's Death,' Walks Out with a TV
A man walked into the emergency room at Lakeview Hospital Sunday night and asked hospital staff if he could come in because his mother died and he needed a place to stay for a while, 15 minutes later he walked out with a TV.

At about 11:30 p.m. Sunday a man walked into the emergency room at Lakeview Hospital and asked hospital staff if he could come in because his mother died and he needed a place to stay for a while.
Staff members let him in, and according to a police report, the man bought a bottle of soda from the vending area and then sat down to watch television in the lobby of the emergency room.

About 15 minutes later, hospital security had lost sight of the man and then noticed that the 20-inch television from the lobby area was gone.
After looking at surveillance video, hospital staff saw a man leave the hospital through the main entrance carrying the television in his hands.

From surveillance footage, police believe the man was possibly Hispanic, was about 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a stockier build and a dark goatee. Police believe the man was in his late-20s to early-30s.
