The following police blotter is compiled from Stillwater police reports and subsequent interviews with the Stillwater Police Department.
Friday, Aug. 26:
- A witness reported that they saw two men wearing black and white masks driving into the Subway parking lot, they turned around and left. Officers located the owner of the vehicle. The owner said it was his brother that was driving the vehicle. Officers advised the owner to tell his brother not to wear a mask when driving.

- Officers received a call that individuals were selling puppies out of the back of their truck in the Caribou Coffee parking lot. When officers arrived, the truck had left the parking lot.
Sunday, Aug. 28:
- A cell phone and $80 in cash was reported stolen from a woman’s purse at the Freighthouse. The items were taken when the woman was dancing. The cellphone was later recovered when it was turned into a bouncer.

- In Minnesota Department of Public Safety news, at least 232 motorists were arrested for DWI between Aug. 19 and Aug. 21, according to preliminary reports from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS). Last weekend was the first weekend of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, a statewide and national crackdown on drunk driving running through Labor Day.
- The County Public Health Department and the Sheriff’s Office recently joined Code RED. Code RED is a web based system which will allow the county to reach citizens by phone and text messaging. Yang has a Washington County Felony warrant for Violation of a Harassment Restraining Order. Yang has been known to the Sheriff’s Department for felony harassment restraining order violations, motor vehicle tax evasion and driving with a suspend license.
