'Stillwater Log Jam' Name Can Stay
City official relented on demands that organizers change festival name.
The struggle over the name "Stillwater Log Jam" for the city's new summer festival is over, according to media reports.
"It's a dead issue," City Council Member Ted Kozlowski told the Stillwater Gazette.
Mayor Ken Harycki said he and other city officials had been "hypersensitive" in objecting to the name as open to "vulgar" interpretations, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.
Cassie McLemore of The Locals issued a statement saying the organizing group was glad to get the city's "green light" to proceed with the "Log Jam" name.
