Stillwater Prison Negligence Led to Inmate's Paralysis, Lawsuit Alleges

'I felt like they were trying to kill me,' Erick Thomas told the Star Tribune.

A lawsuit claims that medical-care failings at Stillwater prison in March 2012 left an inmate with temporary paralysis and continuing numbness, the Star Tribune reported

"I felt like they were trying to kill me," Erick Thomas told the Star Tribune last year.

If Thomas prevails in court, he could join a series of plaintiffs who have won $1.8 million since 2000 in wrongful death and negligence cases, according to the newspaper.
