Volunteers Needed: AARP Tax-Aide Program

Volunteers are being sought to help taxpayers prepare and file 2012 tax returns.

AARP Tax-Aide program, a volunteer run tax preparation and assistance service, is seeking volunteers to help taxpayers prepare and file their 2012 tax returns.

Tax-Aide volunteers receive free tax training and are reimbursed, on a limited basis, for qualified program related expenses. They help taxpayers at sites around the state, learning skills while giving back to countless communities. Volunteers do not need to be an AARP member or a retiree to participate.

Last year Tax-Aide volunteers at Community Thread helped over 800 taxpayers from the Stillwater community. These volunteers are part of the 35,000 Tax-Aide volunteers across the country, helping millions of taxpayers each year.
