School Board Preview: Board Will Vote on Levy Questions

The Stillwater Area School Board will also discuss funding and Vision 2014.

Funding and the levy will be the major topics at Thursday’s Stillwater Area School Board meeting.

The board will discuss and vote on levy and bond questions for Election Day November 2011. Superintendent Corey Lunn will make his recommendations before the school board votes on the levy questions.

  • Dr. Ray Queener, assistant superintendent will discuss with the board E-12 Education Funding Changes and levy timelines.
  • Lunn will give an update on Vision 2014. Discussing accomplishments achieved and provide an outline and the direction of where the school district is headed.
  • The board will review the Capital Projects Levy for Technology. This levy will assist the school district in improving the ratios of students to computers and other technological improvements in the classroom.
  • The board will designate an Official School Newspaper for the 2011-2012 school year.
