Stillwater Area Schools Will Close on Thursday: 'Safety of Students First'
Stillwater joins Hudson and other districts throughout Minnesota in closing due to extreme winter weather.

Stillwater Area Public Schools announced its decision on Facebook at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday:
We will be closing schools for Thursday. Thank you for your patience. The safety of our students comes first!

All Stillwater Area Public Schools will be closed Thursday, Jan. 23, due to the extremely cold temperatures and dangerous windchills predicted for the morning hours. All of our schools will be closed and activities canceled, including Adventure Club and early childhood programs.
As conditions are expected to improve throughout the day, some afternoon and evening events may be held. Those decisions will be made tomorrow morning. Watch this site for updates. The school board meeting will be held as scheduled, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Stillwater City Hall.
