Stillwater Community Theater's 'Oliver' Opens Tonight

Opening night is sold out, but tickets are still available for performances on July 15-17.

The Stillwater Area Public Schools Community Education sixth annual summer Community Theatre production of “Oliver” opens tonight with a sold-out show.

But don't worry, tickets are still available for performances on July 15-17.

"Oliver"

Oliver” is a musical retelling of Charles Dickens' famous novel, Oliver Twist. The plot concerns the adventures of an orphan boy in 19th century London as he escapes abusive treatment in an orphanage run by the heartless Mr. Bumble, only to end up in the company of pickpockets.

Oliver meets the Artful Dodger and is recruited to pick pockets for Fagin.  There, Oliver finds a friend in Nancy, but neither she nor the boy are fit for a life of crime. When Oliver has a chance to live a good life, love and hate battle as Sykes and his girlfriend, Nancy, have different ideas for the young boy.

Performances:

When: 7 p.m. July 14-16 (July 14 is sold out) and at 2 p.m. on July 17

Where: auditorium.

Ticket Prices: $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students/children. All seats are reserved.
