Up, Up, Up, a Concert for Zach Sobiech is sold out.
Saturday night’s show at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis features a lineup of artists including Zach and A Firm Handshake, Vicci Martinez, Kevin Bowe with Alison Scott, Gabriel Douglas (4onthe Floor), Erik Koskinen (Dead Man Winter, Trampled by Turtles) and other special guests.
The concert—hosted by Rock the Cause, KS95, Children’s Cancer Research Fund and The Varsity Theater—is a fundraiser benefiting the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund.
Zach, 17, a senior at Stillwater Area High School, has been battling a rare bone cancer since he was diagnosed at age 14. As the disease spreads, doctors have no more effective treatment options to offer him a cure.
“Clouds,” a farewell song Zach wrote to say goodbye to friends and family, has gone viral on youtube. The Lakeland teen has been signed by music giant BMI and his inspiring story has caught the eye of Hollywood producers.
Rock the Cause will also release Fix Me Up, the new EP from A Firm Handshake, featuring Zach and his lifelong friend and songwriting partner, Sammy Brown.
The CD version of Fix Me Up will be on sale Saturday night at the Varsity Theater. The digital version will be made available on i-Tunes, E-Music, Amazon and other websites in the near future. Proceeds from the digital version will also benefit Children's Cancer Research Fund.
