First Annual Lacrosse Tournament at Hill Murray Remembers Adam Gott

Proceeds from this two-day event benefit the "Adam Gott Collegiate Club Lacrosse Player Fee Scholarship."

A lacrosse tournament honoring the life of Stillwater native Adam Gott is scheduled for next weekend at Hill Murray.

The 1st Annual Gott to Lax Tournamentpresented by Penguin Lacrosse, is scheduled for July 13-14 at Hill Murray.

The charity tournament will honor Gott, a former youth, high school (Hill-Murray School ’11), and collegiate (St. John’s University, ’15) club lacrosse player from Stillwater. Gott died unexpectedly in a dirt bike accident on June 30, 2012.

The Tournament includes 10 area boys’ high school teams with a single-game event for 8 area U13 boys’ teams. The event will also include a Vendor Village, food trucks, Silent Auction and a fastest-shot contest.

Scholarship applications are available at the Tournament and on the Penguin Lacrosse website (www.penguinlacrosse.com) beginning this month for Minnesota high school graduates playing college club lacrosse.

The Tournament is open to the public – games begin at 9 a.m. on July 13.
