Here's a novel idea: The enthusiastic swimming pool advocates can form a partnership, put togetherRead More a business plan and propose the ideas to the bank or a group of investors. When they find a bank or investors willing to finance the project, they can purchase some property and hire a contractor to build the pool. Then they can charge admission and make a profit to pay back the investors. They could also have a cash bar and light snacks for sale. Everybody wins! Including the already overtaxed citizens of Stillwater.

If you're short on food maybe you could put requirements on whether you get food or not... ie: ifRead More you drive up in a brand new car or have designer clothes on... big no! That's what upset me the most when I volunteered once at our church food shelf... Only a few people DIDN'T look twice as rich as me lol!

I am all for a dog park, especially if this group can back up what it says about raising some moneyRead More and being responsible for upkeep and monitoring its users, but this is simply not a very good site. I know this isn't the first they've looked at, but it would be better for all concerned to find a better place to locate this park.
