Two vehicles were reported stolen in Stillwater in two days. Both vehicles were later recovered. The cases remain under investigation.
Police are investigating two reports of stolen vehicles in two days from parking lots in Stillwater. In each case, the stolen vehicle was a 1998 Honda Civic. The first theft report was taken by police on Jan. 23 and occurred across the street from the Modernistic parking lot on Industrial Boulevard. The keys to the vehicle were left in the center console, according to the police report, but not in plain view from outside the vehicle. The vehicle’s owner told police he left the keys in the console because he thought it was a safe lot with working surveillance cameras. But after talking with owners of the lot, the man was told the cameras are not operable. The second report was taken by police on Jan. 25 when the owner of a 1998 Honda Civic …
