Here are a couple of comments from soldiers who have participated in past pheasant hunt events, relayed via D.J. Raduenz:

Commander of the 257th MP unit of the Minnesota National Guard:

"His unit just returned from a year in Afghanistan and he attended our first Welcome Home the Troops event in 2010 after he returned from a year in Basra, Iraq. He said that while deployed this time he and his mates would, over coffee, spend time talking about their great memories of the 2010 hunt; helped get them through the bleak days of the deployment."

And these comments from a Vietnam Veteran who attended last year's hunt:

"His wife told me that for days after the hunt he couldn't stop talking about how much finally being thanked (after waiting 30 years) meant to him; people at Wild Wings kept coming up to him and thanking him for his service. I talked to a co-worker of his this week and his says the guy has been wearing the Red Bull commemorative hat to work every day for the last nine months."
