With the Lumberjack Day's Investigation Complete, a Charging Decision Looms

The Washington County Sheriff's Office has wrapped up a months-long investigation into the Lumberjack Days Festival in Stillwater. Now the case has been forwarded to the county attorney's office for review.

The has wrapped up a months-long investigation into organizer Dave Eckberg and turned the case over for a charging decision.

Whether or not the investigation will result in criminal charges is expected to be decided by the Washington County Attorney's Office in the next couple of weeks.

Washington County Attorney Pete Orput told the Pioneer Press the case was “thoroughly investigated” by the sheriff’s office and will be pursued by his office with “alacrity.”
