Pony Community Activity Centers Continue Into Spring with Special Guests Planned

Stillwater, Minn., Jan. 22, 2014 – Stillwater Area Public Schools has turned local schools into Pony Community Activity Centers for use by community members of all ages. Nearly 500 people participated in the activity centers this fall and the momentum continues to grow through the winter with special guests including Gopher Athletes and the Cooks of Crocus Hill, thanks to a partnership with PowerUp.

In addition to these special guests, PowerUp has sponsored a number of activity centers and provides additional activities such as Hula Hoops, Jump Rope, Skip-Its, group parachute, vegetable tasting and musical chairs. Community Education has also purchased equipment especially for the activity centers including floor hockey gear, beanbags, whiffle ball, and more! Working together, Stillwater Area Public Schools Community Education and PowerUp are helping kids and families stay active, no matter what the weather!

An up to date online calendar is available at www.stillwaterschools.org/PCAC and the January/February activities are:
