Stillwater Relay for Life Raises Thousands in Honor of Fighters Who Won, Lost

This year's walk was dedicated to the memory of Zach Sobiech and his family, a teen who lost his cancer battle earlier this year.

The 19th annual Relay for Life of Stillwater was a resounding success last weekend, as walkers has picture-perfect weather on a night where a local teen who became a national story was on everyone's mind.
Zach Sobiech is no stranger to those who follow Stillwater Patch, and last weekend's Relay was in his honor. There was a luminary sign for the teen, who lost his own cancer battle earlier this year, and several playing of his song, "Clouds."
The Relay raised more than $160,000, according to Stillwater's Lois Raboin.

Thanks to Stillwater Patch user Sue Baldwin for the photos of the event.
